Bio

Roanna Pham is a chemical engineering undergraduate student at UC Davis with a strong interest in pharmaceuticals. She is currently involved in research studying phase separation through microfluidic droplets, as well as how different lipid concentrations induce phase separation in giant unilamellar vesicles (GUVs), with potential implications for biomedical applications. Outside the lab, Roanna is an executive officer of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), where she helps foster professional connections among engineering students and industry leaders. She is passionate about applying chemical engineering principles to biological systems and hopes to contribute to the pharmaceutical field with her leadership background and the analytical perspective honed through her involvement in this research.
